About the Course:

 

The 2 day course provides the knowledge for Assistant coaches (working alongside a more qualified NRA Level 2 or UKCC Level 2 Coach) to deliver rounders activities. 


What are the benefits of doing this course?

To provide you with an introduction to the principles and practices of coaching safe and ethical rounders activities to adults and young people. The qualification will help you to understand how to deliver aspects of coaching sessions, normally under direct supervision of more qualified coaches. 


By successfully completing a Level 1 coaching qualification, as part of a UKCC endorsed coach education programme, coaches will be able to: 

  • Prepare for the delivery of coaching activities 
  • Deliver prepared activities of the coaching sessions 
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of coaching activities 


What will I learn? 


On successful completion of the 1st4sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Rounders, you should be able to: 

  • establish working relationships with the participants and others 
  • establish a safe working environment 
  • prepare for activities, taking into account participants’ needs and motives 
  • contribute to the creation of a safe working environment 
  • prepare the participants for the coaching activities 
  • deliver prepared activities 
  • support participants’ behaviour 
  • conclude the activities 
  • review the activities 
  • contribute to the evaluation of participants 
  • develop personal practice continuously. 


Who can attend? 


Learners need to be at least 15 years old to register for and attend the course; however learners cannot be certified for the 1st4sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Rounders until they are 16 years of age.

Cancellations

  • Please be aware that we need to achieve a minimum requirement of learners to be able to confirm the course is going ahead.
  • We aim to communicate a cancellation with learners 7-14 days in advance of the course date.


Terms and Conditions

  • If you cancel within 7 days or fail to attend the course without good reason (at the sole discretion of Sport Structures), the full fee will apply.
  • If you cancel within 14 days of the qualification then 50% of cost will be returned to you
  • Once payment and the application form is returned, confirmation of course details will be sent 7 days prior to the course.
  • If Sport Structures cancels the course, you will automatically be booked onto the next available course date. 
  • We advise that accommodation / train tickets should not be booked until a course confirmation letter is received or a Sport Structures member of staff confirms that the course is definitely going ahead as we will not refund expenses incurred
  • In the event of a tutor not being able to tutor a course at short notice due to an emergency, we will contact you to inform you and re-organise the course. 
  • The information provided by the applicant will be stored on the Sport Structures CIC Database and held in accordance with the Data Protecting Act 1998.
