Due to the national situation with coronavirus, we will be postponing the workshop and will be aiming to hold the same workshop theme and speakers in the autumn and will send you a new date as soon as feasible. If you are already registered for the workshop you will be advised at the earliest opportunity when we will be holding the workshop and we will maintain your registration.

Thank you for your interest in the upcoming Mary Kitzinger Trust workshop:

‘Innovations in Research and Practice in Cerebral Visual Impairment

Mary Kitzinger Trust workshops are for professionals who work with children and young people with vision impairment (including psychologists, specialist teachers, researchers, health professionals, habilitation specialists and those working in the charity sector). 

This workshop has been designed to focus on research and practice aspects related to cerebral visual impairment (CVI). We have invited experts in the field to present a diverse range of topics, including classification, prevalence, assessment, classroom strategies and understanding the complexities around CVI (see below for the provisional list of speakers). There will be dedicated time for open discussion and delegates will have the opportunity to network with others throughout the day.

The cost for attending the workshop is £25 (students/retired £15) this includes refreshments and a sandwich lunch.

The deadline for registration has passed

Cancellation requests must be received at least 3 working days prior to the event for a full refund minus the booking fee taken by, cancellations after this point and up until the day before the event will receive a 50% refund.  The Trust cancels events only when absolutely necessary, but reserves the right to do so, as well as to reschedule events and substitute presenters. If an event is cancelled, you may request a full refund. Please note the Trust will not be held liable for any accommodation or associated travel costs should an event be cancelled or rescheduled.
