SSE Wildcats Centre - Run by Ipswich Town Community Trust

SSE Wildcats - Register your interest.

Ipswich Town Community Trust have teamed up with Suffolk FA to offer schools the chance to start exciting, girls-only football provision, known as an SSE Wildcats Centre.

The aim of an SSE Wildcats Centre is to encourage girls to be more confident in playing football/sport, whilst in a fun and safe environment. Girls who show a keen interest in further football opportunities will be guided to find a local Grassroots team to continue their new love of the game.

Ipswich Town Community Trust have previously run a Wildcats Centre in a Suffolk school with huge success - the centre reached capacity long before the first week, and the players have gone from strength to strength both in terms of their football skill and personal confidence.

We believe running these sessions in schools provides an excellent platform for the girls to really thrive - they are in an environment they are already familiar with, with others they already know. We have even seen many older Wildcats adopt a 'mentor' role for the younger ones, which has been fantastic to see.

Hosting an SSE Wildcats Centre is a great way for schools to further their sporting provision and develop community links with other local providers – all with the support and guidance of the ITFC Community Trust team.
