Advancing the development & wellbeing of children with vision impairment

Thank you for your interest in the upcoming Mary Kitzinger Trust workshop:

“Promoting successful futures for young people with visual impairment” 

Mary Kitzinger Trust workshops are for professionals who work with children and young people with vision impairment (including specialist teachers, researchers, health professionals, habilitation specialists, psychologists and those working in the charity sector). 

This workshop has been designed to focus on research and practice aspects related to promoting positive outcomes for young people with VI. We have invited experts in the field to present a diverse range of topics, including the new Curriculum Framework, promoting positive adjustment and supporting career success. A further presentation is planned and details will be published shortly. 

There will be dedicated time for open discussion and delegates will have the opportunity to network with others throughout the day.

The cost for attending the workshop is £25 (students/retired £15) this includes refreshments and a sandwich lunch.

Cancellation requests must be received at least 3 working days prior to the event for a full refund minus the booking fee taken by, cancellations after this point and up until the day before the event will receive a 50% refund.  The Trust cancels events only when absolutely necessary in extreme circumstances, but reserves the right to do so, as well as to reschedule events and substitute presenters. If an event is cancelled, you may request a full refund. Please note the Trust will not be held liable for any accommodation or associated travel costs should an event be cancelled or rescheduled.
