Our beginner camp is for new riders who want to establish a personal benchmark in their fitness and skills, working out what they are good at that may benefit from further training and development. Our coaches will teach bike-handling techniques in a range of terrains, safe riding in groups, energy efficiency and interval training. We also provide evening seminars on how to train effectively over a season along with easy bike maintenance and repair while out on the road. By the end of the camp you will be a more confident ‘club’ rider, perhaps considering a sportive or charity ride, time trial or road event. Above all, you will have had fun and know what you enjoy.
Provided you sign up at least 6 weeks prior to the camp, you’ll receive a training plan from one of our coaches for the weeks proceeding so that your fitness is where it should be pre camp. Every onehas their your own aspirations and starting point on these camps but our job is to plan for all needs and levels of experience so that you not only gain fitness but also knowledge along thew way.
And of course, we offer the essence of every cyclist’s ride, café stops. Enjoy coffee and cake at local towns and villages en route, and pedal it off back to base!
