The Pakistani higher education system is confusing and building on the latest research this session will clarify why some Bachelor programmes would be suitable for postgraduate study.
This course is recommended for university and college staff involved with entry to postgraduate courses. The course will also be useful to people from professional bodies, nationality & immigration solicitors, recruiters, work permit and visa agencies, careers / guidance / refugee and asylum seekers advisers.
This online session will give an overview of the structure of the Pakistani education system with a special focus on the higher education system.
It includes practical guidelines on accreditation, the different higher education awards and their characteristics and how they compare to UK standards.
The key objectives of the training are to:
- Understand the broad outline of structure of the education system in Pakistan
- Understand the different types of Bachelor and Master’s degree, their characteristics, their level compared to the UK system, and how to distinguish between degrees with the same title
- Determine the suitability of Pakistani applicants for postgraduate study
