Overview
English language for admissions – the current landscape is the first in a series of English for Admissions webinars. This first session will provide an introduction to the webinar series, and reflect on the changing current landscape for the English language assessment in the COVID-19 context. This will include an overview of the new Tier 4 guidance relating to English language requirements, a reflection on the implications of these changes for Higher Education providers, and a brief spotlight on how English language test providers are adapting to this new context.
The following English for Admissions webinars will be shaped by topics and areas of interest suggested by attendees together with wider themes such as how UK NARIC benchmarks English tests and assessments, HE readiness, and what English proficiency looks like at different levels.
