Overview
This online session will give an overview of the structure of the Nigerian education system with a focus on the West African Senior School Certificate and undergraduate qualifications.
It includes practical guidelines on the interpretation and understanding of educational documentation.
Target Audience
This course is recommended for university and college staff involved with entry to undergraduate courses. The course will also be useful to people from professional bodies, nationality & immigration solicitors, recruiters, work permit and visa agencies, careers / guidance / refugee and asylum seekers advisers.
Objectives
The key objectives of the training are to:
Understand the use of the Senior School Certificate and the West African Senior School Certificate for admission onto undergraduate programmes and how this compares to the UK’s education system.
Obtain information about different institution types and their accreditation
Understand undergraduate qualifications and typical requirements for postgraduate study in Nigeria
