Using the ENIC database and tools

Overview

This practical session will focus on UK ENIC’s data and services, which can be used to support admissions and recruitment activities and understanding of key markets and education systems. This session highlights how using our resources, including our online Certificate Bank, the Member Enquiry Service and our country profiles, can inform decisions within international education.

Throughout the session there will be case studies focusing on typical issues that arise which our resources can support with, and we will explore how some of the more in-depth resources can support greater familiarity with technical areas relating to different education systems.

This will be a highly interactive session and will last 2.5 hours.

Target audience

This session is aimed at any UK ENIC members who currently use our databases, or would like to integrate it more into their work and gain greater familiarity with the resources therein.

Objectives

The key objectives of the training are to:

•  Increase familiarity with the resources already available to members and demonstrate their effective use

•  Empower database users to apply the resources to their day-to-day work through focusing on specific situations and how the resources can support decisions

•  Encourage attendees to explore resources they are less familiar with in order to understand how these can fit in with their current use of the databases

•  Provide less experienced users with a thorough and comprehensive demonstration and practice with using the resources and services provided as part of their membership.

Note: There will be practical exercises on the day. Please bring a pen and notebook or paper and a laptop (rather than a tablet or phone).

The standard cost to attend this training session is £225 for members and £275 for non-members.

*Please note, payment by invoice is only available to UK ENIC members. If you are not a member, you must pay by card.
