Secondary and Higher Education in China
China represents a key market for UK higher education with numbers of student admissions increasing considerably in recent years. This interactive session will give an in-depth focus on the structure of the Chinese education system at both secondary and higher education level.
Key qualifications considered in the session include:
The Senior Secondary School Diploma, including the Huikao and Academic Proficiency Test
The National College Entrance Examination (NCEE) (Gaokao)
Higher education qualifications including the Zhuanke and Benke / Bachelor degrees.
The session includes practical guidelines on the interpretation and understanding of educational documentation from these countries and makes international comparisons with the UK system. It will also include opportunity to explore how our online resources can support admissions decisions.

This course is recommended for university and college staff involved with entry to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The course will also be useful to people from professional bodies, nationality & immigration solicitors, recruiters, work permit and visa agencies, careers / guidance / refugee and asylum seekers advisers.
