Overview
A newly designed training day for those who are at the start of their career in international admissions.
This training day provides a concentrated and thorough introduction to the education system and qualifications of key countries and some of the challenges associated with typical qualifications, to support understanding of best practice in international student admissions.
In addition, delegates will understand how to develop a systematic approach to the evaluation of overseas qualifications, identifying the most able students and making an offer.
Objectives:
The objectives of this session are to:
- Understand the important elements of best practice in international student admissions and how these can be applied
- Understand the challenges associated with key qualifications from the selected key countries
- Understand English language proficiency levels for admissions.
Note: There will be practical exercises on the day. Please bring pen and notebook or paper and a laptop (rather than a tablet or phone).
