Education fraud in the digital age

Guarding against education fraud is an important component of the admissions process of universities and colleges. In this webinar we will examine the incidence of fraud in education and how fraudsters are becoming increasingly more sophisticated, using modern, digital tools.

In a 2020 survey, UK NARIC revealed that the implications of accepting unqualified or dishonest students was the greatest concern for institutions, with its accompanying legal, management and disciplinary issues. Not far behind in their concerns was the potential loss of the sponsor licence. Most strikingly perhaps, we highlighted that 75% of admissions staff stated that they could not spot a fake qualification.

Ecctis will be discussing how HEIs might tackle this problem and be taking a look at verification techniques and solutions and their efficacy.

This webinar will be presented in association with Qualification Check, our partners in the Qualification Check at Source (QCAS) service.
