The international education sector is experiencing a concerning rise in fraudulent international applicants with serious consequences for individual institutions and the sector as a whole. Those processing such documentation need to be able to develop fundamental skills to be able to notice and flag potentially suspicious documentation in order to safeguard their institutions as much as possible.
Overview
This course is designed to meet the needs of those processing international applications for work or study or those in credential evaluation roles. It provides guidance on what documents to request and what checks to make when dealing with international credentials. It also provides the opportunity to share experiences and ideas on best practice in the field of fraud detection, and the opportunity to practise the skills discussed using real examples.

The key objectives of the training include:
- To increase awareness of the existence of fraudulent documents
- To know the importance of correctly verifying an institution
- To apply measures to aid in the detection of fraudulent documents.

This course is recommended for university and college staff involved with entry to undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
