Overview
This session will cover various aspects of the UK education system – primarily, but not exclusively, focused on higher education – and has been designed to address common questions we receive from our members.
Areas to be covered include:
- Qualification accreditation
- Recognised and listed bodies – types of higher education institutions in the UK and their awarding powers
- Effective use of key online resources – for example, the Ofqual register website
- What to do with qualifications that are not listed by the relevant regulator
- Document formats and certification
- The session will be interactive, including live activities, real document examples, and Q&A.

This course is recommended for university and college staff involved with entry to undergraduate courses. The course will also be useful to people from professional bodies, nationality & immigration solicitors, recruiters, work permit and visa agencies, careers / guidance / refugee and asylum seekers advisers.
