A.S Judo

Alan Scott the founder of A.S. Judo has built a club using British champion Judo instructors to teach children in schools. The club began from a single class at Gateway school of 40 pupils 10 years ago to over a 1000 students in more than 50 schools. After an impressive Judo career, Alan was keen to create his own dojo where he could mentor children from 6 years old, nurture them to become not just judo athletes but individuals with discipline, respect for their opponents and the self-belief to succeed. Having competed so successfully at British and International level he wanted to create a Judo coaching model which was highly professional, effective and fun. He insisted on building a team of Champion coaches who like himself had won medals, competed internationally and understood what it takes to succeed.

Alan's mission for A.S Judo is to provide the best training for children to develop Judo skills in a safe environment in which, they feel comfortable, make friends and gain self-confidence. He will continue to extend the list of schools A.S Judo teaches in and maybe one day have some of his students picking up international medals for themselves.

Elite Cycling

Elitecycling has now established itself as one of the most successful cycle coaching companies in the UK. Their long established partnership with Crystal Palace Physio Group has provided them with a venue in the sports injury centre that provides their clients the very highest standard of facilities. It is here that their carry out all physical assessments, in-door sessions, Dialed in Motion bike fitting service and all our other bio-mechanical analysis tests using Watt bike technology.

They have also become somewhat famous in the area and soon nationwide for owning the brand Turbo Beat sponsored by S Dance Live. These sessions are run within the grounds at The Lodge on Monday and Thursday evenings between 7pm-8pm and they also offer an off peak session for clubs from 8.30pm - 9.30pm.

Haddenham Cycle Training

Haddenham Cycle Training aims to improve cycling ability and knowledge, both on and off the road. They want to enable those they train to enjoy cycling more frequently and more safely. They deliver cycle training within Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding counties.

They train and assess children from Reception up to Secondary School, until they are ready to venture unaccompanied on the roads. They also train children out of school as well as adults and are happy to tailor sessions for individual needs. They organise cycling activities and rides for youth groups.

In December 2010, Haddenham Cycle Training became an Instructor Training Organisation (ITO). They are one of only 17 ITOs in the UK recognised by the Department for Transport, an amazing achievement for an organisation of our size.
