Bookings are now open for our Summit and AGM 2020 at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead

We are delighted that we will be joined by Baroness Dido Harding, Chair of NHS Improvement, as our keynote speaker. We are also pleased to be able to welcome back Professor Karen Bryan, newly appointed Vice Chancellor at York St John University and formerly a member of the Council. Please see the provisional programme for more details. At this important moment for the Council, ahead of its move to become an independent charity, the AGM will provide an opportunity to introduce the new Chair and trustees. We will also be using the conference as an opportunity to consult with members on the Council's strategy refresh as we head towards the final year of our current strategic plan.

For delegates staying on the night of Monday 11 May, there will be an informal dinner at the hotel. The formal conference dinner will be held on the night of Tuesday 12 May, where we will also be saying goodbye to the members of our elected executive and celebrating the end of this current chapter in the Council's history.

The Hilton Hotel Newcastle Gateshead is a 13-minute walk or short taxi ride from Newcastle Central station. There is onsite parking at the cost of £12 for 24 hours and complimentary parking for blue-badge holders (subject to availability). Newcastle Airport is 20 minutes by taxi and there is a regular metro service to the city centre.
