Our 3rd annual community walk is taking place on Sunday 17th November. This year we have tried to keep the route a bit shorter, hoping to make it more appealing to families! The route is just under 5 miles and will see our walkers starting at the iconic Aerospace Museum in Filton, heading over to Catbrain, passing Brentry and Southmead before finishing at those famous blue gates we all love! On reaching the gates, we invite everyone who has taken part to join us at the Bristol Civil Service Sports club where there will be a bar, hot food and the medal presentation.
We welcome as many of you as possible to sign up and walk with us, these events are always filled with laughter, encouragement and a familiar face or 2!
This year we are asking for a £5 registration fee*, as some will know, several people who signed up last year didn’t make the walk and left us and the Tote end old boys out of pocket having covered the cost of medals, we are hoping the registration fee will prevent this happening again. The fee will also cover the cost of hot food for everyone once they finish.
All funds raised through sponsorship will go to the Community Trust to help evolve and grow existing projects as well as bring new ideas and initiatives to life.
Once you have registered you will be sent an email with details of how to set up a Just Giving page linked to this event.
*please note only those over 12 will need to pay the £5 registration fee, children under 12 can be added to a registration and will still get hot food.
