3-hour drawing workshop for beginners and improvers. 

Working with graphite, charcoal and a variety of papers we will produce still-life sketches inspired by wine and winemaking in the beautiful setting of Hambledon Vineyard. Beth will run through some techniques and exercises in the first hour (where we would look at value and tone, negative shapes, shadow shapes and composition with pencil, charcoal and white pastels) to get the participants comfortable with ‘observational drawing’. This is followed by a demonstration and finally a set up of some still life compositions featuring elements that would be used in the winemaking process culminating in a drawnig that is unique and relevant to the day (bottles, glasses, grapes, tools, equipment etc). We then finish our afternoon with a tour of the vineyard and a glass of Classic Cuvée. You're welcome to take your artwork home as a souvenir of your day.
