Aldershot Town FC Youth Development Phase Development Centre is designed for boys in the under 13 to under 16 age groups. Throughout previous seasons we’ve had a number of players trial within the Academy after attending the Development Centre sessions.

This Development Centre aimed at the older age groups for boys to develop their technical skills and tactical knowledge after being coached by academy coaches and replica scheme of work.

The under 13 to under 16 Development Centre is based Tomlinscote School (GU16 8PY) on Monday evenings from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, and will begin first week of September, and run through until the end of the school term in July. Sessions will run in line with school terms, and there will not be training sessions during the half-term periods.

The sessions are delivered by UEFA and FA Qualified coaches who work within Aldershot Town F.C. Academy and delivered in line with Aldershot Town F.C Academy training programme. The sessions will focus around the FA’s 4-corner model aiming to develop players to be composed on the ball, develop players to be dominant in 1v1 situations and many more technical skills to allow them to be comfortable in possession, as well as to become more competent out of possession. 

The other benefits from these session is that it is a potential pathway into the academy, opportunity to purchase our development centre training kit, and extra training as well as playing for your grassroots club. 

The Development Centre will recommence after Easter, starting Monday 17th April 2023.
