The Kent Under 16 Years International 2023

All players entering this competition must be between the ages of 8 and 15 years of age on 24 June 2023 and hold a current BJA or BJA affiliated membership or a membership  from their country's judo governing body.

All competitors must bring their valid membership to the weigh in with their record book for proof of grade (We will not be able to check licence validity with the BJA on the day)

NB: If any competitor wishes to enter a further category on Sunday, 25th June (Juniors or Seniors - must be 14 years or over on the day) please enter the under 16 category at full price, then email giving name and the Sunday category you wish to enter.  There will be a charge of £10 for each additional category, payable on the day of the competition.   Refunds of £15 are being arranged for those that have paid full price for a second category.

Spectator fees - Adults - 1 day - £6.00

                                  Adults - 2 days £8.00 (with Kent International for Juniors and Seniors  on Sunday 25 June 2023)

Weigh-in  - All players must weigh-in in judogi trousers and T-shirt.  0.6 kg allowance will be given for girls up to U63 kgs and boys up to U66 kgs, 0.8 kg allowance over these weights. 

Band A - Yellow Belt Girls                             8.00am - 8.30am

 Band A - Yellow Belt Boys                             8.30am - 9.30am

Band B - Orange/Green Belt Girls            10.00am - 11.00am

Band B - Orange/Green Belt Boys            11.00am-12.00pm

Band C - Blue/Brown/Black Belt Boys      1.30pm - 2.00pm

Band C - Blue/Brown/Black Belt Girls       2.30pm - 3.00pm

BJA contest rules will be operative throughout the event; all other regulations regarding the event will be in accordance with the BJA Tournament Handbook.  'Golden Score' will operate throughout the event.  Any rules/regulations incorporated after the issue of this entry form will also apply.

Technical Restrictions will apply in Band A .    NB: As this is an under 16 event there will be no point scoring.  

Method of competition -  8 and above competitors - Compound knockout, 7 and under competitors - Pools

Competitors are expected to provide their own blue and white competition belts.

Competitors must wear suitable footwear at all times when off the mat.

To ensure the arena floor is kept as clear as possible only coaches with a valid Coaching Card will be allowed entry to the mat side area. To avoid any problems regarding access to the arena floor please ensure you bring your card with you to the event.

The organiser reserves the right to refuse entries and to combine any weight group should it be necessary.  In the event of a dispute the Tournament Directors decision is FINAL.

Closing date for entries -Saturday, 10th June 2022. Please note this event is limited to 500 U16s. The entry will be closed when sufficient entries have been received even if this is before the stated closing date.

Entry fees are not refundable unless the competition is cancelled or if insufficient entries are received in any category
