Ju-No-Kata and Kodokan Goshin-Jutsu tutored by Yoshihiko Iura-sensei, Kodokan 8th Dan
This is a British Judo Association Licensed Coach Education Course
A National Kata Course for senior judoka of any grade will take place on Saturday 25 November 2023 and Sunday 26 November 2023 at the Army School of Physical Training, Aldershot, Hampshire.
10:00 to 16:00 both days – booking-in 0930Examinations from 16:30 onwards£30.00 per day (Saturday or Sunday), or £50.00 for both days
Those judoka holding an attendance certificate from a previously completed British Judo course in Ju-no-kata or Kodokan Goshin-jutsu will have the opportunity to be continuously assessed for a BJA Level 1 certificate in that particular kata. Higher level certificates will be subject to examination. Only holders of Level 1 may be examined for Level 2, and only holders of Level 2 may be examined for Level 3. Only Tori will qualify for a certificate. The Kata examinations and assessments will be free of charge, however for successful candidates there will be a charge of £10 to cover the cost of issuing a Kata Certificate
Closing date for online registration: Friday 10th November 2023. No bookings will be taken after this date.
This 2-day kata course will cover all aspects of Ju-No-Kata on the Saturday, and all aspects of Kodokan Goshin-Jutsu on the Sunday. Participants will be tutored in these kata by Yoshihiko Iura-sensei, Kodokan 8th Dan – an internationally recognised kata expert.
An attendance certificate from either day's course satisfies the requirements for Section 9 of the BJA Technical Dan Grade syllabus.
Those judoka not wishing to take any examinations/assessments are still very welcome to attend the course.

SPECIAL NOTEAll military personnel serving in the Armed Forces will be able to attend for free. Military judoka must still book on the course with an administration fee of £5 per day to cover attendance certificates and other resources such as handouts.
