Junior Game Creators: Level UP has been developed in response to parents looking for something that goes beyond Scratch but keeps the process of learning by making games. We call it the course that scratches the itch Scratch cannot reach!

Three years ago we revolutionised the learning approach to teaching code with our Junior Game Creators after-school clubs and holiday workshops. Now we're taking things to the next level with an extra special one-day session of advanced video game design. 

Do you know a game creator with super ideas, talent and desire to make it big in the world of video games (A market now bigger than music and films combined).

Scratch is a wonderful tool that provides a fantastic foundation for computer science and the digital arts. But Scratch has its limitations and there are many talented designers ready to take their next step. Junior Game Creators: Level UP is for those  that feel they have mastered Scratch and are keen to make bigger, better, cooler games that can be published and monetised.

Activities

JGC: Level UP will inspire students aged 11-16 to create their very own videogames, playable on PC, Mac and  mobile devices like phones and tablets! We'll explore a number of popular genres from space to sports and even survival games before implementing their own designs to truly personalise the games. Students will learn advanced development techniques so a solid understanding of Scratch is essential.  

Booking

Booking is on first come first served basis and our workshops are always over subscribed. A waiting list is maintained and priority given to the waiting list should someone cancel.
